Camfuze Cams status don't get back to offline

Well, it's already said in the title:

Camfuze Cams status don't get back to offline

I was surprised to see some camfuze cams marked as 'online' but there weren't. For now there are 40 cams online (and it looks the number does not chance over time)

Some cams are marked as going online already 2 days ago (e.g. broadcasters jstagrlndawrld and fiery21) , but never returned back to 'offline'. A side effect of this is that we don't get a notification for these cams, because there never change again offline -> online.

Would it be possible you have a look into it? thank you! -- for your convenience : camfuze online

Yes, the new checking system will try to overcome this issue, right now I see some 404 errors popping up while accessing camfuze, I will look closer into it pretty soon.

same again

11 camfuze cams marked as online, none of those IS online.

Few people are broadcasting on camfuze, NONE is marked as being online on camnotifier. For sure the notifcation mails are missing for those, too.

I have had the same effect earlier this week. And today again. Is there any kind of watchdog function to detected a hanging process of the notification service functionality?

The notification service is much smarter and much more complex than before, of course it still needs improvements but for now it does the job very well.

There is of course a watchdog and I do get notified when the system hangs, but that's when everything fails, not just camfuze, otherwise the system corrects itself after 30 minutes of inactivity for a certain provider.

To conclude, clearing online cams can go as long as 30 minutes if there are errors detected along the way.

it looks camfuze is re-newing the layout complete and therefore notification is not working (reliable / not at all)

for the moment you can compare

  • www.camfuze.com (new layout , new links etc)

  • www2.camfuze.com (oldone) -- also us.camfuze / en.camfuze / camfuze.com

e.g.

http://www.camfuze.com/?gender=3

http://www2.camfuze.com/pages/Female

resp.

http://www.camfuze.com/?gender=2

http://www2.camfuze.com/pages/Male

also '503 Service Temporarily Unavailable' does happen now on www.camfuze.com

For the moment I avoid www.camfuze.com but i fear we have a couple of work in front of us. I recommend to use the other subdomains as mentioned above until things are settled.

Looks camfuze enabled their major UI changes on most of there subdomains. http://www2.camfuze.com shows the old UI, but with out-of-date data.

It also looks to me that the data used for the new UI is based on ~start of november and not the most recent one (e.g. of yesterday : 17nov2013)

There are still glitches on the site. Let's hope fixing those will not influence the cam notification service
